Problem z konfiguracją routera TL-MR3420 i modemu Huawei e3131

Dodam jeszcze że polecenie usbmode -l zwraca coś takiego jak poniżej, nie wiem czy prawidłowo

Jak rozumiem jesteś już na alternatywnym firmware (którym?).
listę urządzeń na USB sprawdza się za pomocą

lsusb

powinny być ze dwa urządzenia szeregowe typu ttyUSBx i pierwsze z nich jest do komunikacji z modemem w celu nawiązania połączenia.

zainstalowałem mifi polecane przez kolegę na samym początku wątku, na szybko nie ma takiego polecenia jak lsusb na tym sofcie, chyba że siedzi w jakimś katalogu którego nie mogę znaleźć :wink:

Openwrt nie ma w standardzie tego polecenia. Taki sam wynik można uzyskać poleceniem:
cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices

Zrób tak:
uruchom router bez modemu
po około 30 sekundach podłącz modem i poczekaj chwilę
zaloguj się przez SSH i uruchom polecenie:
dmesg
wstaw wynik na forum.
zobaczymy czy modem jest wykryty i odpowiednio przełączony.
możesz też wstawić wynik z polecenia:

Problem jest z przełączeniem urządzenia w tryb modemu. Nie wiem dlaczego nie działa to od razu, bo modem jest wspierany od 2010r.

Spróbuj jeszcze zmienić na starsze oprogramowanie Gargoyle gdzie jest inna wersja usb-modeswitch:

Jeśli to nie pomoże to spróbujemy powrotu do fabrycznego oprogramowania.

Zainstalowalem ten soft, przez jakiś czas gdy pod port WAN miałem podłączony kabel sieciowy z netem, sam modem pokazywał się i pokazywał słaby bo słaby ale sygnał play, ale status był "nieznany".
Wyjąłem kabel z sieci WAN, przełączyłem WAN na modem i niestety nie udaje się połączyć. Strona ze statusem modemu nie ładuje się mimo długiego oczekiwania, a w logach jest coś takiego:

Mała aktualizacja:

  1. zrobiłem to co podpowiadaliście wcześniej, czyli wyłączyłem router, włączyłem go bez modemu, odczekałem trochę i włączyłem po jakimś czasie. To zaskutowało tym, że modem się połączył!!!
  2. niestety nie jest idealnie, a mianowicie osiąga bardzo niskie prędkości. Na komputerze ten modem "wyciągał" około 2Mbps, tymczasem modem stojąc dokładnie w tym samym miejscu domu osiąga ledwie 0,4 max 0,5Mbps.

Zakładka ogólna pokazuje:

Siła sygnału 3G/LTE:12% (-105dBm, CSQ: 4)

Tymczase zakładka modem 3G/LTE wygląda jakby modem wogóle się nie połączył. Ten wykresik, ktory tam jest nie pokazuje nic zupełnie nic :frowning:

Obawiam się także co się stanie, jak np. wyłączą mi prąd, czy modem automatycznie odzyska połączenie, czy będzie potrafił łączyś się tylko jak się go włączy bez modemu? A co jak zerwie się połączenie, czy będzie wznawiał je automatycznie?

Czy to co pisalem moze miec zwiazek z niskim pradem jaki daje port usb routera? czy trzeba dorzucic aktywny hub usb?

Słaby prąd w porcie USB routera najczęściej objawia się przez rozłączanie modemu w czasie pracy, jednak wpływ na prędkość jak i słabszy zasięg maja zakłócenia produkowane przez router. Dobrą rzeczą jest więc aktywny HUB USB który pozwala odsunąć modem od routera oraz dostarczyć większe ilości prądu.

Bardzo dziękuję Wam za pomoc, będę obserwował efekty działanie modemu, na razie nie udało mi się osiągnąć większej prędkości niż 0,5Mbit :frowning:

Ogólnie modem, którego maksymalna szybkość komunikacji z siecią komórkową to 3,6 Mbit/s uzyskując 2 Mbit/s daje wyśmienite efekty - raczej spodziewałbym się czegoś między 0,5 a 1 Mbit/s. Zasilanie faktycznie może utrudniać pracę, bo to bardzo stary model i raczej prądożerny, ale jak się nie resetuje to albo inteligentnie się dostosowuje i ogranicza prędkość, albo masz szczęście :slight_smile:

Witam ponownie. Raz jeszcze dziękuję Wam za pomoc. Testowałem rozwiazanie w domu i zachowywało się przez tydzień całkiem nieźle. Przez tydzień bezobsługowo utrzymywany był internet - może niezbyt szybki bo około 0.5-0.6Mbit, ale był codziennie stabilnie.
Przewiozłem router na miejsce docelowe, gdzie wiem że jest słaby zasięg. Udało mi się zainstalować go w najwyższym punkcie domu na strychu pod dachem - gdzie ten zasięg mały bo mały ale jest. I sytuację wczoraj miałem dość dziwną:

  1. Po uruchomieniu routera internet przez jakiś czas był - prędkości około 0,3-0,5Mbit
  2. Po jakimś czasie (może po 2-3 godzinach) modem jakby co chwilę się rozłączał i łączył - internetu za diabła, licznik pokazywał więcej danych wysłanych niż odebranych i pingi nie wracały praktycznie wcale
  3. dziś zrobiłem restart routera i na razie od pół godziny znów internet działa jak w punkcie 1

Nie wiem co może być przyczyną czegoś takiego. U mnie w domu modem nawet jeśli się rozłączał to przez cały tydzień stabilnie łączył się ponownie - przy czym tam mam lepszy zasięg. Na miejscu docelowym - coś się mocno wysypało :frowning:

Czy macie jakiś pomysł co można byłoby usprawnić w konfiguracji routera aby coś takiego nie miało miejsca? Podsyłam poniżej logi przed restartem i logi po restarcie.

Włączyłeś śledzenie (watchdog) łącza za pomocą PING i jak nie ma połączenie, to każesz mu się resetować.
Teraz pytanie dlaczego nie ma połączenia:
Twoje objawy wskazują możliwości kilka:

  • zbyt słabe zasilanie modemu (użyłeś przedużacza i/lub kabla Y do podania zasilania?)
  • zbyt słaby dostęp do Internetu, który powoduje gubienie tylu pakietów, że watchdog się aktywuje (wyłącz go lub wydłuż czasy testowania - nie wiem, czy jest taka opcja w interfejsie)
